Hostel Rules
- Study hour in the hostel is from 5 A.M. to 9 A.M. and from 6 P.M. to 11 P.M. with a break for an hour from 8.30 P.M. to 9.30 P.M.
- All the letters to be posted or received by the boarders should be checked by the hostel authority.
- All cases of misconduct shall be reported to the Principal and He/She is the final authority to take any action deemed necessary there on.
- Each boarder should give the address of a local guardian who must be permanent resident of the town living with family.
- Visitors are allowed to meet their wards from 4.30 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Saturday, from 8 A.M. to 10 A.M. in the morning and from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. in the evening on Sundays. During the winter season, the visiting hours will be from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M., on both the and Sunday.
- Only those visitors will be allowed whose names are submitted by the natural guardian in the visitor�s list at the time of admission.
- Day-scholars and lady visitors will not be allowed into the hostel rooms without prior permission of the Superintendent.
- Application form should reach the office atleast three day before the date of leaving the hostel.
- Boarders will not be allowed to stay overnight with their local guardians for more than once a month.
- Mess charges for 20 days are compulsory for boarders, but this will not be applicable if he/she remains present in the college.
- The hostel will remain closed during the Summer Vacation and Puja holidays.
- The boarders will be responsible for the furniture supplied to them and will have to forfeit the amount deposited towards caution money for any sort of damage there on.
- The boarder will forfeit her seat in the hostel, if he/she will have shortage of attendance.
- No boarder should remain absent from the hostel during the study period without the prior permission of the Superintendent. Frequent absence from the hostel, however, will be treated as breach of discipline.
- When a boarder falls sick, her sick meal is prepared in the hostel or if necessary brought from outside according to the instruction of the Superintendent. If the cost of the diet exceeds the cost of ordinary meal, the extra charges are to be realised from the boarders.
There are certain forbidden practices for the boarders of the hostel. They are -
- Bringing of papers or periodicals not approved by the Govt. in to the hostel common room or to the library.
- Singing and playing upon musical instruments except during leisure hours as fixed by the Superintendent.
- Holding of any meeting, not approved by the Superintendent.
- Lights will remain off in the hostel from 11 P.M. to 4P.M. positively.
- Every boarder is expected the minimum standard of dressing. They should be properly dressed.
- Without the knowledge of the Superintendent no boarder is supposed to remain absent, from a single class.
- Posting of letters or sending message without the knowledge of the Superintendent is forbidden.
