Examination

The college will conduct the following examinations for promotion to next higher class or for being sent up for the Council / University Examinations.

 

For +2, 1st Yr. Classes : Test Examination.

For +2, 2nd Yr. Classes : Test Examination. 

For +3, 1st Yr. Classes : Test Examination. 

For +3, 2nd Yr. Classes : Test Examination.

For +3, 3rd Yr. Classes : Test Examination.

As per the revised examination pattern of CHSE, the college will conduct XIth class examination at the end of 1st year.

Besides test and H.S. Examinations unit tests will be done at +3 level by each department after completion of each unit. Absence in the unit test will be seriously viewed and may liable to imposition of fine as decided by consideration committee headed by the Principal.

Dates of such examination will be duly notified.

Marks secured in these examinations shall be considered at the time of promoting the students to the next higher class, for Council and University Examinations.

Non appearance in any one paper will lead to imposition of a fine as decided by the consideration committee

Malpractice, disturbance and misbehavior in examination will lead to punishment vide circular No 1504, dt. 11.7.77 of D.P.I. (HE).

No student will be allowed into the examination hall without Identity Cards.

CHSE Examination

 

The Higher Secondary Examination for +2 Arts, Science and Commerce ordinarily held in the month of March every year.

The pass marks in the written and practical examination is 30% and 40% respectively in individual subject and 35% in aggregate.

Students securing 60% marks in aggregate shall be placed in first division, 50% marks in second division and 35% or above shall be placed in third division.

However if a candidate secures pass marks in aggregate but fails in one or more subjects may appear compartmentally in the failed subject or subjects in the next Annual H.S. Examination.

If a candidate secures pass marks in aggregate but fails in one subject only is allowed to give Instant Examination held soon after publication of Annual H.S. Examination results.

University Examinations

 

The course for +3 Arts, Science and Commerce shall be of three years and divided into three parts ; First University Examination, Second University Examination and Final Degree Examination usually held at the end of 1st year, 2nd year and third year classes respectively.

The pass marks in the written and practical examination is 30% and 40% respectively in individual subject and 33% in aggregate.

Students securing 60% marks in Hons. and passed all subjects in aggregate shall be placed in first division, 45% marks in second division and 35% or above shall be placed in general division without honours.

However if a candidate secures pass marks in aggregate but fails in one or more subjects may appear back paper in the failed subject or subjects in the next University Examination and have to clear back paper in maximum of two chances. Students securing less than 45% marks in Honours subjects are allowed to appear back paper in Hons.
